This Economic Outlook is the sixth in the Chartered Management Institute's series of research papers examining managers' views on the economy. It presents the findings of a survey of 701 managers conducted in March-April 2012, revealing the impact of the double-dip recession on organisational investment and employment. Public sector managers are significantly more pessimistic about the outlook for the economy and their own organisation than their counterparts in the private sector.
